We’re proud to announce recent promotions of two Digital Marketing team members. Katie Conaway has stepped into a new role as Content Strategist and Colton Jones into the PPC Strategist role.
Katie Conaway Promoted to Content Strategist
Conaway started with Evolve in October 2019 as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Her work in the digital space started during the inception of the internet when businesses first started looking to the “World Wide Web” to reach more customers/clients/partners. After receiving her Master of Science degree in Information Communication Sciences in the 1990s, she worked as an eCommerce analyst and application developer to help businesses leverage the web for business purposes, primarily with IBM solution architecture. Within the last couple of years, Katie has moved away from a more technical role to a more marketing-oriented role, optimizing online content for search, social media, digital ads, and email marketing. Today she works closely with the Evolve team members and clients to ensure best practices are being leveraged in all aspects of SEO, including on-page and technical SEO.
“Evolve has enabled me to gain experience and knowledge in digital marketing best practices that I don’t feel I would have gained as quickly at another marketing agency. Our team is so supportive of one another and as a result, I have been able to excel quickly. To give you some background, I was just starting to switch over to the marketing realm when Evolve hired me as a Digital Marketing Project Manager. Todd and Sierra quickly realized I had more experience to leverage regarding client-deliverable work and they asked if I’d like to move into a different role. From there I was fully supported to gain the necessary experience to excel in my role as a Content Specialist. In this new role, I was able to tap into a bit of my more technical background and explore SEO best practices further. Now that I am a Content Strategist, I look forward to taking on more responsibility and helping the newer members of our team excel like I was able to at Evolve with the support of my peers and our ever-supportive leadership!”
Colton Jones Promoted to PPC Strategist
Jones started with Evolve in January 2020 as a Digital Marketing Specialist. He is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. After working in-house at a handful of large corporations specializing in organic & paid social media, he decided to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship and began freelancing in the digital marketing space. A little over a year later, he discovered the job opportunity at Evolve and jumped on it. Following Evolve on social media made him aware of the benefits & perks offered at the company, as well as the long list of great, local clients.
