Project Learn is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to provide free literacy and lifelong learning services to adults in Summit County. These services help them achieve their goals as family members, workers, community members, and lifelong learners.
Project Learn offers amazing services that are extremely beneficial to the community, the only problem was that not enough people were taking advantage of them. As a result, our plan for this website redesign was to put Project Learn’s services and statistics at the forefront to immediately demonstrate their mission.
The website has a specific audience: adults without a GED, those who need help with literacy, and people with English as a second language. With this in mind, we kept the website highly visual, emphasizing participant photos and organizing information, in short, easily digestible chunks. We wanted to show people all that Project Learn has to offer, while also providing an information-rich website.
In the past, Project Learn employees had a hard time keeping their website current, leading to irrelevant and outdated information. As part of the redesign, we made sure the client could control their content and easily update their site. Changes can now be made by their own team, meaning content stays fresh and more helpful than ever.
